I'm Wilma and I'm four months old. (I think. ) Last week I felt much older though. I lived in a really bad place with lots of barb wire and cement. It was dark and cold and wet too. I'm not sure what kind of place it was, but nothing like the place I'm at now. I lived with a very mean man. He was so mean...I can't even describe it. He cut me all over, and would laugh at me when I cried. I would beg him to stop, but he wouldn't. He also hit me with stuff. One time it hurt so bad that I just closed my eyes and went to sleep. When I woke up I was bleeding really bad. I was so scared. My tummy hurt all the time too. I never got to eat except when the bad man left and I could find something he left behind. That was scary sometimes though. One time he came home and I was eating a sandwich he left on the table. He got so mad! I thought his eyes would explode. He poured some really hot water on me....it burned me and left me with scars all over my back! Someone said it was called acid. Whatever it was, it hurt! I cried for days after that.

Finally I decided I couldn't take it anymore and I found a hole in the fence and crawled out. It took me so long and I thought the bad man would catch me and hurt me more. But I did it! I was so proud of myself! I ended up in a shelter, but some really nice person took from there. And now I'm living with a nice lady. I get to eat whenever I want and she has such soft hands! Who knew life could be so much fun? Thanks for helping me get better and for donating to my fund! LOVE WILMA
