The ASA is a self-sustaining 501-c3 organization. ASA supports families across the state whose lives have been touched by autism. We provide educational materials, seminars, workshops, support groups and referral services for Alabamians. For our members we offer a lending library, quarterly newsletter, priority on scholarships and we also maintain a website (www.autism-alabama.org) and a toll free information and referral line 1-877-4AUTISM. ASA seeks to improve the quality of life of persons with autism spectrum disorders and their families through education, advocacy, and support.

Ten years ago autism affected 1 in 10,000 individuals; today that number has skyrocketed to 1 in 150. Every 16 minutes a child in the United States is diagnosed with autism.
Autism is the fastest growing developmental disease today and it is vastly under funded. Your support will help make a difference in the lives affected by this disorder.
