Funds raised from these events are used to support research studies, which have led to discoveries about not only Neurofibromatosis (NF), but also cancer and learning disabilities. In addition to research, NF, Inc. Midwest provides support, education and hope for NF families. Some funds may be used for clinical programs, education and awareness.
What is NF? NF is a genetic disorder of the nervous system that causes tumors to form on the nerves anywhere in the body at any time. NF can cause tumors, cancer, hearing loss, learning disabilities, epilepsy, bone deformities, vision impairment and chronic pain. There is no cure......YET!
