Hello everyone,

Please take a minute to read through and learn about the  event I am participating in NYC on august 24th.

This is the third year SEA has been running this event to raise money for Autism Awareness.  Surfing has shown to be a calming and euphoric activity for those suffering with autism. The Benefactors of this eventare Surfers Healing,Autism Speaks, AutismFamily Services of NJ,Autism NJ, and Surfer's Environmental Alliance.

I have been involved with the ocean since I was a child. Later as a NYC lifeguard in Rockaway Beach NY for 7 years, aswell as surfing, body surfing, Kitesurfing,and most recently Stand Up Paddle Boarding.  These unbelievable ocean sports have taken me all over the world to experiance them in the best conditions.  My love for the ocean has led me to start my own Kitesurfing/surfing/Stand Up Paddle Boarding & apparel business in both Miami Beach FL and Key Biscayne Fl.

Sea Paddle NYC was brought to my attention by a friend of mine. Ross Stevens who I introduced to the sport of Stand Up Paddle Boarding aswell as Kitesurfing a year earlier. He was instantly  hooked. When I first heard about the event, the fact that the paddle was going to be around NYC  was already reason enough for me to  want to be involved.  When I was told it was for the non-profit organization Surfer's Environmental Alliance, and specifically Autism Awareness, I thought what better reason to Paddle 28 miles around my home standing on a board that has given me the most enjoyable days of my life. 

Both myself and Friend Ross will participate in the Paddle around NYC for Autism awareness.

This is not a race it is a Stand Up Paddle event. The sole pupose is to raise money for Autism Awareness and The Surfer's Environmental Alliance.

I realize times are tough but I think this is an excellent cause.  Any amount of doantion is very much appreciated.  Just be thankful you're not the ones in the east,harlem and hudson rivers.
