My personal message:
Hey guys, so I'm doing a benefit ride for the local therapeutic riding center, EquiCenter.  EquiCenter is located in Mendon, NY and offers everything from traditional therapeutic riding, to vaulting, hippotherapy, and horsemanship.  Catering to so many different types of people and helping many, even if it makes only the slightest difference.

In the trail trial, we preform in 11 different trail obstacles, ranging from something as simple as crossing a bridge, to something as crazy as shooting a ceramic tiger with a water pistol.  The obstacles are stretched over a 6 mile trail ride and teams compete for the highest score on each obstacle (scoring 0-10), as well as who can raise the most money.  Thus, comes the next part of my speech :P

So, of course, I'm doing some fundraising for this therapeutic riding center.  Even a few dollars would help out so much.  This program is non-profit, thus it survives through our donations and scholarships from NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) and AHA (American Hippotherapy Association).  Donations would help give scholarships to kids who are unable to afford this means of therapy, and keep the barn and horses in top condition.

So, if you can afford even a few dollars, it would be greatly appreciated.  And make sure you wish me luck on the day of the event, June 29th! ~_^
