My personal message:

Dear Friends & Family:

As part of my Bat Mitzvah studies,  I have developed this fundraising project. Thank you in advance for your support.

I became interested in Ethopian Jews when my pen pal Leah (an Ethiopian Jew living in Israel) visited me last summer.

There are many poor Ethiopian Jews living in Ethiopia. Seventy two dollars a year will feed one school age child a simple, nutritious meal every school day and a Saturday lunch. My goal is for us together to raise $3,600 which will nourish 50 children for one year.

Please take the time out of your busy lives to donate what you can, even $18, to help these Jewish children.   We all have the privilege of being able to feed and clothe ourselves. But these Ethiopian Jews do not. So join me in my special way of giving back and helping me become a responsible Bat Mitzvah.

Thanks again. See you soon!

Love, Matty

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

One final note: Because firstgiving.com will take a 6% fee for hosting this page, we actually need to raise $3,816 in order to meet our goal.
