Last year a dozen of us volunteered to walk in Johnny's memory. We all thought it would be a very emotionally draining morning, but surprisingly, it was "fun" and uplifting - just the opposite of what we expected. It made us realize we truly were "not alone". So many families and friends have lost their love ones to suicide; it really is an epidemic.
If by our walking, we keep Johnny's memory alive and help raise awareness to the fact that depression can be fatal, then walking 3 miles + seems like a very small step forward towards survival. Please join our team to walk or cheer us along or donate to the Good Samaritans to help save someone's life.
Thank you,
The McLaughlin Family
