Dear Family and Friends,
I am raising money to help children with neuroblastoma. I first heard of this pediatric cancer when my friends Paul and Nina found out their daughter Eden was diagnosed with this monster of a disease in 2005. Eden courageously fought for three years and lost her battle this last February at the age of 9. It is because of their journey that I am committed to helping fight this horrible disease so others do not go through what Eden did.
The concept for this fundraiser came from Eden's favorite day of the year Halloween. As a tribute to Eden and to get into the spirit of Halloween, I’ll be highlighting my hair with Eden’s favorite color, orange, on October 26 at Studio 17 Salon, in Tustin. It's my great hope that people ask me, "Why is your hair orange?" so I can tell the story of Eden and what "HallowEden" is all about.
I invite you to join my “HallowEden” fundraising efforts by making a donation to MagicWater Project, a non-profit foundation created by parents of children with neuroblastoma that is helping get trials funded and drugs approved now for these kids. The organization falls under the umbrella of the San Diego Community Foundation and all donations are tax-deductible (Tax-ID 95-2942582). 100% of the money raised goes directly to this research, which means nothing goes to salaries or marketing!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts and help me reach my $2,500 goal. By making a sponsorship donation you can make a difference and help in the fight to cure this disease.
I also invite you to join me at Studio 17 Salon, located at 17331 17th Street, on Sunday, October 26th from 11:00 to 4:00. All proceeds from salon services that day will be donated to MagicWater Project.
And don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might also like to participate. Many thanks for your support.
XO ~Lynn
