We are a group of cousins from Mobile, Alabama, that has a burden for the water crisis across the world. One child dies every 15 seconds outside of the United States. 50% of people outside of the United States are currently suffering from a water related illness. We realize that we are young, but we also realize that we HAVE to do SOMETHING to help. We have a passion to help the people of Uganda by uniting our families and friends, co-workers, classmates, church family, etc and raising funds to sponsor a well in Uganda. We want to take the love that God has shown to us through blessing after blessing, and we want to put it into action to bless others. We are partnering with Living Water International. This organization has been working with water projects for 17 years and has helped to implement over 5,000 of these projects worldwide. their approach-to train, equip, and consult nationals- this ensures that the energy and resources contributed by volunteers and donors will result in sustainable, participatory water systems that meet the long-term needs of communities. What we will sponsor with our $5,000- one 'shallow well'. This will build a well that will provide clean water to around 1500 people, along with community training on hygeine and sanitation, and training for locals on how to maintain the well. Our fundraising strategy: 'There Is Power In Numbers'. We believe that if everyone gives a little, the world can be changed. Our strategy is to start with our circle of influence, informing them on the crisis and then sharing our vision of how we can help with the solution. Our hope is that after our family and friends here our heart and feel our passion that they will also begin to share with their circle of influence and so on and so on. We need YOUR help. $1 will provide clean water for someone in Uganda for an entire year. Every CENT counts. No matter how small your contribution to our project is, you will be 100% involved in the outcome- hundreds and hundreds of people's lives will be forever changed. Will you help us?
