Over the last 11 years, our family has sought many varied treatments to help Matt recover from the devastating effects of Lyme disease.  We continue to learn how complex this disease is and how many people have life-long medical problems as a result of delayed diagnoses and improper treatments.  We want to finally join with others who suffer from the effects of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases and try, in whatever way we can, to raise money for the Turn the Corner Foundation.  This is a not-for-profit public charity started by another Lyme disease victim who, like Matt, has suffered for many years and recognized the need for public support to stop this dreaded disease.  This is the first walk in New Jersey and we hope that this will lead to many others and catch the attention of health and government officials who can help fund the fight against Lyme disease.  We have been blessed by the caring support of many friends and family over the years and hope that we can "pay it forward" and work towards better testing for, and treatment of, this complicated disease.  Thank you for any help that you may be able to lend to this cause.
