Dear Special Family and Friends:

Can you believe the Buddy Walk is here again?

I am now 7 years old and it's our sixth year to host a Buddy Walk in the Brazos Valley. We're looking forward to raising more money for the National Down Syndrome Society, and -- most important -- for all the activities our support group provides families in this area.

Remember that this is our only annual fundraiser each year. And the money we raise is well-spent. We send kids like me to weekend camps, Handwriting Without Tears classes, a weekly fitness class and more. We ensure that all new parents of children with Down syndrome in our community have the information and support they need, and we also send some of our members to state and national workshops, so they can pass on the latest research and advocacy news to our members.

Just last month we had a really fun swimming party, and next week we're going to play putt-putt golf together. These activities give kids like me a chance to play with my friends, and they give the parents a chance to swap stories, laugh and learn from each other.

Donating through this Web site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support the Down Syndrome Association of Brazos Valley.
