Project Tanzania
Hello, I’m Emily Kehoe, and I am a junior at Powers Catholic High School. This summer, I will be spending five weeks in Tanzania as part of a service project through an organization called Global Routes. I will be living with a family in Samaki Maini, a rural village in the far north-eastern region of Tanzania. This village is located about 20 miles from Moshi, a lively town at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The community has expressed a need for classroom space and supplies. So as part of our service project we will be helping to construct a school for the local children. The money that our group raises will pay for building materials, books, and other school supplies. None of these funds will be used for our own travel, housing, etc. Any donations are fully tax-deductible and would be greatly appreciated. One hundred percent of your contribution will go directly to this project. My goal is to raise $500 towards this project. Once again thank you for your support and know that every cent raised will really help!
