The Champaign County Humane Society was incorporated in 1951.  We are an "open door" shelter and accept all animals in need, regardless of age, physical condition or adoptability.  We are not a government body and we are not supported by tax dollars.  We are not affiliated with any national organization.  As an independent non-profit organization, we exist through the generous support provided by caring members of this community.
