The Champaign County Humane Society is an "open door" shelter that accepts all companion animals in need, regardless of age, physical condition or the reason for their relinquishment. The staff and volunteers at CCHS work hard to provide the animal residents with an excellent level of care and strive to find new, permanent, loving homes for as many animals as possible.
Incorporated in 1951, CCHS is an independent not-for-profit organization. CCHS is not a government agency and is not affiliated with any national charitable organization. CCHS relies on donations from individuals and local businesses to fund its operations and education programs.
