Hi Friends,

   Wow, it is hard to believe a year has passed since Landis and I walked 917 miles and raised over $10,000.00 for lupus. Crazy as it sounds, we loved doing it and are going to do it again!!! Plus, this year we added four more legs...Tully Coney, our new Wheaten puppy. We are going to walk 1,000 miles between October and May. We chose May, because it is Lupus Awareness Month and we want to help kick it off.

   As most of you know, I was diagnosed with lupus in 1980. For the past five years, I have served on the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. Board of Directors in Washington, DC. I am continually amazed at all the wonderful people in the U.S. that live with the life challenging disease of lupus. Finding the cure for lupus would be a dream come true, but in the meantime, we desperately need new medications and support for people whose lives are impacted by this disease. Any donation you make will really help!!!

   Landis has agreed to keep up his blog at http://landisconey.blogspot.com. You can check in there often to see how far we've walked and what else is going on. Landis is really happy to have his sister, Tully, helping him write this year.
