Get Ready for the 8th Annual Omaha Area Buddy Walk!!

On October 3, 2009 teams and individual walkers will converge at UNO to raise awareness and acceptance of those with Down syndrome.
Last year, nearly $115,000 was raised to support programs and services in the Omaha area. To further expand programs for families impacted by Down syndrome, we hope to exceed our achievements from past years and raise over $125,000 in 2009!
Please help - donate or register to walk today!!
The Buddy Walk® was developed by the National Down Syndrome Society in 1995 to promote awareness and advocacy for people with Down syndrome, and has grown from 17 walks in 1996 to 270 in 2007. Since the Buddy Walk® was created in 1995, over 2,000,000 people have participated in a Buddy Walk® worldwide. The Omaha Buddy Walk is held in October to celebrate National Down Syndrome Awareness Month.
