I came to undesrtand the scope of services provided by HAWC from my friendship with Candace Waldron, HAWC's Executive Director.  HAWC empowers people to endure the first steps of a difficult transition on their way to a better life.  Without the support that HAWC offers, these women and children would be left with dire options for their future.  I have a deep respect for the work that HAWC accomplishes on a daily basis, and I know HAWC will appreciate your support as the state makes cuts to social services and programs like HAWC.
