A New Beginning by the Basset Trio
April 24, 2008 was the best day of our lives because Basset Buddies Rescue truly rescued us from the filthy outdoor cages where we had been living, sick and neglected, for so long that we couldn’t remember any other life. That day we ran, as best as we could, to our new beginning with BBR -- a new life where we have left behind that awful place and are called by our real basset names: Elvis, Pickles, and Emma, by people who love and care for us.
The BBR folks promised us, as we drove away from that terrible place, that there would be warm kennels with beds and blankets, and food, belly rubs and hugs waiting for us but most importantly.... LOVE!
Some of our pals didn’t make it, and we’re very sad about that. But, thanks to the rescues like BBR and others, many more of us were saved!! We know, that with BBR's help and yours, we’ll find our forever family. Until then, we’re tucked in warm kennels trying to get healthy and strong.
