In 2007 I decided to run the Chicago Half Marathon, and afterwards was unsure if I really needed to run in another race ... ever! However, early last year a friend of mine decided to run the Chicago Full Marathon for Team World Vision to help raise money to help struggling villages in Africa. After seeing her success last year, and after a trip to Africa in January of this year where I saw firsthand the need for clean drinking water, health resources, and other forms of aid, I've decided to join her and the team this year.
Would you please consider donating toward my goal to help me, help Team World Vision make a difference in villages and communities in Africa.
If just 20 people would donate $26 ... that's roughly $1 per every mile I'll run, I'll surpass my goal of $500! (likewise if 10 people woudl give $2 per mile...)
World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.
You can support my efforts through Team World Vision by making a one-time tax-deductible donation.
