Dear Fans,

As you probably know, one of my great passions is drum and bugle corps.  For over 30 years I have been involved in one way or another with Minnesota Brass Inc., the premier all-age drum corps in the Midwest. This organization has been the constant in my life. From a rookie Soprano in 1978, to Board Chair, Business manager, Assistant Corps Director and now back to just being a member as a 2nd Baritone in this year's 2009 line

Minnesota Brass has an exciting opportunity this season--to travel to Scranton, Pennsylvania in order to compete against the other top six all-age drum corps in the country. This invitation was a direct result of the outstanding results that Minnesota Brass has achieved in recent years.  The corps placed 2nd last year at the DCA World Championships and became the first corps from west of Pennsylvania to ever crack the elite top three of all-ages drum corps!

Adding another long-range trip to our existing summer schedule is no small matter.  It requires additional time from our members, organization from our staff and, of course, money for food, fuel, busses and equipment trucks.

Which is why I'm hoping you can help us.  The invitation to Pennsylvania developed after our members had committed to their dues for the year and after we had balanced a very tight and very frugal budget for the year. In order to provide this incredible opportunity to our members, we need to raise an additional $10,000.

Would you consider supporting Minnesota Brass this year with a gift of $50? That is the same amount each and every member is kicking in above and beyond their pre arrange dues commitment. I am sure I can find 20 of you to help me reach my persoanl goal of $1000
