We’re running and walking in memory of
David Chadwick Jr.
May 31, 1963-June 23, 2000
It’s that time of year again! We’re thrilled to be participating in another Samaritan’s Run For Someone Else’s Life! Losing someone to suicide can make you feel helpless, angry and very sad. After losing my brother, David Chadwick Jr., the team at the Samaritans and my participation in The Race for Someone Else’s Life allowed me to work beyond those initial feelings of loss. The work that the Samaritans do, both for those in need of a lifeline and for the survivors of a suicide is vital.
Over the years the team has grown. I have been overwhelmed by the support we have received in our effort. We’ve continued our participation in the walk/run because we believe in what the Samaritans do! Last year David’s Team had an incredible turn out for the day of the race. We hope to be able to support the Samaritans again this year with a great turn out on the day of the race!
If you would like to join us for the day, please feel free to register with the team! To register on-line please visit: https://app.etapestry.com/hosted/SamaritansofBoston/OnlineRegistration.html
When registering please indicate that you would like to be a part of David Chadwick's Team . It is also possible to register the day of the race.
After the official events conclude, we will be heading to 21 Nickels in
Watertown, MA , www.21nickels.com, to continue to celebrate life.
So many people are impacted by suicide; either in their own thoughts/actions or by the thoughts/actions of those they love. Please help to ensure that they will have a resource to turn to during this time.
Thank you for your support and interest!
My many thanks,
Emily Chadwick Condon
