To Our Family and Friends,
Our family will be participating in something called " Running for Someone Else's Life 2007" which is being held by the Samaritan's on September 29, 2007.
As most of you already know my brother Marty Committed Suicide on July 10, 2006. Since then I have been attending meetings through the Samaritan's called Safeplace, Survivors of Suicide. These meetings have been a tremendous help to me and my brother Patrick who also attends with me. We are trying to raise funds so maybe we can prevent the pain of a Suicide happening to someone elses family and we can keep these programs and also start new ones to help families who are going through losing a loved one to Suicide. But most importantly to be able to have the appropriate people available when someone is reaching out and asking for help. We never thought in a million years that my brother would take his own life and Suicide would affect our family, but it did happen to us and it happens to a lot more families than people realize .
